La Bottega del Gelato opened its first outlet in August 2012 at the newly-opened Bawabat Al Sharq Shopping Mall, Abu Dhabi.

This unique business concept is the first of its kind in the country with no current competitors and offers organic gelato products without artificial flavors and less additive preservatives.

Based on an original idea developed over several years, La Bottega fresh fruits are sliced in half, the flesh scooped out and converted into ice cream and then carefully stuffed back into the two fruit-halves.

La Bottega produces fresh gelato daily, i.e. the best Italian quality ice cream which actually is a gelato filled fruit.

La Bottega also offers Dopocena (small glasses filled with different gelato flavors), ice cream cakes and real Italian ILLY espresso coffee. The fruits are specially imported from Brazil, Chile, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt and Yemen.
